Jefferson Elementary Awarded 'Facility Giving Program' Grant

Henderson Jefferson Elementary 300HENDERSON, Ky. (12/17/13) - Jefferson Elementary has been awarded a $1,250 grant from the local “Facility Giving Program” through the Walmart Foundation. The funds will be used for the implementation of “The Leader in Me” program and will help support Jefferson Elementary ’s first Leadership Day in the spring.
 
“We are so thankful to be receiving this grant from the Walmart Foundation and for the opportunity to use the funds for our student led Leadership Day,” said Principal Crissy Sandefur. “I truly hope the community will come to Jefferson’s Leadership Day to see the great things taking place and to see the leadership skills that are being instilled into our students each day.”
