DUI ARREST3 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (2/28/14) ― A one-vehicle accident ends with a DUI arrest Thursday, Feb. 27 in Madisonville.

According to a Madisonville Police Department report, MPD received a complaint of a vehicle collision with injuries at 4:17 p.m. On Seminary Street. When officers arrived, they found the driver had been traveling south on Seminary, when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a telephone pole.

The report said that Lisa Rickard, 46, had slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol, and that officers found a half empty vodka bottle lying in the floor board of the vehicle.

Rickard was transported to Baptist Health ER for injuries to her head. While in the ER, the report said Rickard became disorderly and resisted arrest.

Rickard was charged with DUI, first offense (aggravated circumstances), possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle and resisting arrest. She is being lodged in the Hopkins Count Jail.
