Sharon Ray, 69, of Greenville

sharon rayGREENVILLE, Ky. – Sharon Ray, 69, of Greenville, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014, at 2:07 a.m. at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Ind. after a sudden illness.

Ray was born October 1, 1944 in Chicago, Ill.. She retired from K-Mart in Powderly and was a member of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Isabell Camplin and a brother, Don Camplin.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Ray of Greenville; sons, Terry Ray (Tonya) Ray Jr. and Thomas Shawn Ray of Greenville; five grandchildren, Aaric Ray of Scott Airforce Base, Ill., Chasity (Brian) Piper, Zackery Ray, Tiffany (Ethan) McIntosh, Isabell Ray, all of Greenville; great grandchild, Jayden McIntosh of Greenville; two step grandchildren, Logan Graham and Katie Graham of Beechmont; one nephew and two nieces.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Richard Day officiating and Rev. Adam Brown assisting. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville. Visitation will be Monday after 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
