ham-and-turkeyCENTRAL CITY, Ky. (4/17/14) — Many an organization prepare meals during the Christmas and Thanksgiving holiday seasons for the needy and less fortunate, but rarely does one see an Easter meal served to the public.

Lindsay Ward, along with volunteers, will prepare an Easter meal Saturday, complete with a choice of turkey or ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, macaroni and cheese, bread and a desert.

“I wanted to do something different while also giving back to my community and those in need,” said Ward.

The event will take place 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday, April 19 in the conference room of the Central City Convention Center.
