dora-lorraine-bethelGREENVILLE, Ky. (5/5/14) — Dora Lorraine Bethel, 67, of Greenville, Ky., passed away Friday afternoon May 2, 2014 in the Muhlenberg Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born Oct. 20, 1946 in Luzerne the daughter of Albert Lee Smith and Tilda Lena Phelps Smith. She was a member of Duvall’s Chapel General Baptist Church and was a housewife and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William Mozart (Jew boy) Bethel, two brothers Ray Maxine Smith, Ova Jewell Smith and sister Eartha Vonell Smith Browning.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon May 5, 2014, 2p.m. from Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, Ky., by Rev. Burial will follow in Nebo Cemetery.

She is survived by her foster granddaughter Brenden Doll of Greenville, Ky., brother James (Betty) Smith of Central City, Ky., sister Linda (James) Embry of Greenville, Ky., brother Robert Nicholas (Mary Nell) Smith of Johnson City, Tenn., brother David (Judy) Smith of Greenville, Ky., and several nieces and nephews

Friends may call Monday morning May 5, 2014 after 10 a.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, Ky.
