softball-and-gloveOWENSBORO, Ky. (6/3/14) - The City of Owensboro, in partnership with Owensboro-Daviess County Convention and Visitors Bureau, is hosting the 2014 Worth/KHSAA State Fastpitch Softball Championship June 5-7.

All games will be played at the Owensboro Softball Complex, Jack C. Fisher Park, beginning Thursday, June 5.

The gates will open 4 p.m. with first round games beginning 5 p.m. Games will continue all day Friday starting 9 a.m., with the last games scheduled 7 p.m. Gates open 8 a.m. Gates will re-open Saturday morning 8 a.m. with games beginning again 9 a.m. The championship game is scheduled for 1 p.m. All times are CST.

Day tickets and Session tickets can be purchased online in advance and also at the park each day of the tournament. All-day tickets, good for date of purchase only, will be $5 per person on Thursday evening and $10 per person on Friday and Saturday. All-session tickets are $15 per person for all three days. Children 10 years of age and under will be admitted free of charge. Tickets can be purchased online at www.khsaa.org or at the gate.

In addition, due to event parking areas throughout the park, a portion of the greenbelt at the front area of the park will be closed to pedestrian access.
