James Edward Stumn, 69, of Dayton, Ohio

bfh-617MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. — James Edward Stumn, 69, of Dayton, Ohio, died Saturday, June 14, 2014, 9:30 p.m. at Maria Joseph Convalescent Center in Dayton, Ohio.

He was born Jan. 14, 1945 in Central City, Ky. to the late Alfred Peter Stumn and Beulah Baker Stumn. He was also preceded in death by his wife Mary Lloyd Bowman Stumn in 2008.

He retired from GH & R Steel Plant with over 20 years of service. He was also owner and operator of S & F Select Heating & Air Conditioning in Dayton. He acted as a personal security guard for local entertainers and was an avid baseball player who loved news and sports.

Survivors include two sons, Tristan Stumn and Deon (Jackie) Bracey, both of Dayton; one daughter, Lafronda Stumn, Dayton; one sister, Mary (Rev. Clarence) Scisney, Madisonville; two grandchildren, Devon Stumn & Jonathan Bracey, Dayton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services are Saturday, June 21, 2014, 12:00, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, Ky. Rev. Clarence Scisney, Jr. Eulogist. Rev. Terrence Minor, Officiating. Burial in West End Cemetery, Greenville. Visitation 10-12 Saturday at the church.

Bibbs Funeral Home, Greenville, is in charge of arrangements.
