john william_mooreCENTRAL CITY, Ky. – John William Moore, 76, of Central City, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Cool Springs Nursing Home in Thompson Station, Tenn. Mr. Moore was born June 7, 1938 in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired coal miner and a member of Nelson Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was a veteran and member of Masonic Lodge #673.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Moore; son Jon (Meredith) Moore of Thompson Station, Tenn.; daughter Stacey (Dale) Fields of Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren Brian Fields, Brittany Nordmeyer, Kensi Moore, and Jace Moore; great-grandchild Noah Nordmeyer; and sister Patsy (Buddy) Smith of Nelson Creek.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 18, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Donnie Wilkins officiating. Burial will be in Nelson Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
