MUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY - Alvin Lloyd Dukes, 69, of Central City passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM at his residence. Born August 11, 1942 in Muhlenberg County he attended the Presbyterian Church and was a retired Boiler Maker for the Local 40. He was also an associate member of the UMWA Local 40 and a member of the Central Masonic Lodge #673, and is a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by a grandson, David Hulst.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Hunter Dukes of Central City; daughters, Melanie (Duane) Whistle of Owensboro, Kimberly (R.D.) Dukes of Greenville; grandchildren, Brook Beals, Brennah Beals, and Brandon Whistle; great grandchildren, Brylee Beals and Jaxson Jennings; brothers, Robert (Mary) Dukes of Drakesboro, Bill (Juanita) Dukes of Dacator, Alabama, Bennie (Becky) Dukes of Lake Malone, and Jimmy (Corky) Dukes of Lake Malone.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-8PM at the Funeral Home.
