MUHLENBERG, KY - Kenneth G. Walker Sr., 76 of Greenville, KY died Thursday afternoon November 17, 2011 at 2:59 p.m. at his home. Kenneth was born January 7, 1935 in Muhlenberg County son of the late Calvin Evander Walker and Lucille Craft Walker. He was member of Willow Glen Church of Christ Powderly, KY and was a retired UMWA coal miner having worked 20 years for Peabody Star Mines. Kenneth was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon November 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, KY by Mr. Jimmy Jenkins with burial to follow in Cherry Grove Cemetery Weir, KY.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda Alexander Walker of Greenville, KY; Daughter Kim (Mike) Bowling of Newburgh, IN; 2 sons Phillip Walker of Greenville, KY; Kenneth G. “Kenny” (Sandra) Walker Jr. of Greenville, KY; 5 grandchildren Madison Bowling, Christian Bowling, Mackenzie Bowling, Gabrielle Walker, Kendra Walker, 2 brothers Donald R. (Martha) Walker of Huntsville, AL, Bobby G. (Shirley) Walker of Powderly, KY, Sister Phyllis Bagby of Powderly, KY.
Friends may call Saturday afternoon November 19, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, Ky. and after 9:00 a.m. Sunday until Funeral Time.
