MUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY - Charles Austin “Buddy” Dukes, 68, went to heaven in the early morning hours of November 19, 2011 at 12:25 a.m. at his home surrounded by his wife and children after a very short illness.  Buddy was born in White Plains, KY on August 8, 1943 the son of Andrew Jackson Dukes and Stella Garrett Dukes.  He loved to fish, hunts and could just about fix anything.  He was always working on something.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gene and Glen Dukes.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 35 years; Zane Dukes of White Plains, KY; 3 sons Charles Dewayne (Buck) Beringer of Madisonville, KY; Charles Wayne (Bud) Williams of Madisonville, KY; Buddy Allen Dukes of White Plains, KY; 4 daughters Sherry Sue Upchurch of Nortonville, KY; Teresa Marie Russette of Glnalden, PA; Lisa Rose Chappell of Greenville, KY; Christy Elaine Dukes of Nortionville, KY; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 4 sisters Betty Joe Crick of Greenville, KY; Brenda Sue Peterson of Greenville, KY; Faye Gray of Greenville, KY; Mona Lee Dukes of Greenville, KY; Terry Gene Dukes of Greenville, KY; Jerry Dukes of Central City, KY.

Graveside services will be Wednesday afternoon November 23, 2011 at Hight Cemetery White Plains, KY by Rev. Jeremy Teague.

There will be no visitation.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made Fifth Third Bank Nortonville, KY c/o Charles Austin “Buddy” Dukes.  Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, KY is in charge of arrangements.
