Mary Elizabeth Mayes, 72, of Drakesboro

2flowerMUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY - Mary Elizabeth Mayes, 72, of Drakesboro, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 12:30AM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.

Mrs. Mayes was born November 28, 1939 in Harrisburg, Illinois. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Printis Mayes.

Survivors include her son, Michael E. (Patricia) Mayes of Beech Creek; daughters Barbara Woodall of Madisonville, Diane E. (Danny) Epley of Central City, Robin (Roger) Knight of Owensboro, and Laura Wood of Owensboro; sister-in-law Pat Ledbetter of Drakesboro; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Bobby Allen officiating, assisted by Rev. Robert Lindsey. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
