Detective Updates Community on Major Shoplifting Case

MADISONVILLE, KY (1/13/12) – Recently, SurfKY News assisted the Madisonville Police Department in a criminal case by posting camera shots of two females shoplifting in the Madisonville Wal-Mart for possible identification by the public.
 
According to Detective Jonathan Murphy, the investigating officer on the case, both subjects have been identified.
 
“We received numerous Crime Stoppers and direct calls regarding the identity of the subjects,” said Detective Murphy. “This information led to the arrest of Tobitha Lynn Chatman on January 11 on charges of Theft by Unlawful Taking.”
 
Detective Murphy commented that the other female has been identified, but has yet to be located.
