PADUCAH, KY - Clara E. Hollins, 75, of Paducah, passed away, Thursday, January 19, 2012, 11:10 p.m., at Lourdes Hospital.

Clara was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she served as president of the Pastor’s Aide, president of the Sisterhood, vice-president of the Missions Ministry, chairperson of the Pastor’s Anniversary Committee, president emeritus of the Choir and served on the Mother’s Board and the Culinary Committee. She was also a member of the Interdenominational Union Choir where she served as treasurer. She was employed as a presser by the former Dalton Cleaners of Paducah.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Reverend Ervin A. Hollins of Paducah; one son, Darrell Johnson of Lima, Ohio; two daughters, Ramona Parker of Central City, KY and Charlene Boyd of Greenville, KY; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; 1 great- great grandson; four Step-sons; One Step-daughter; four Step-grandchildren; one sister, Thelma Cain of Central City, KY; two brothers, Charles Allen of Paducah and Richard Allen of Columbia, South Carolina; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Percieul Duncan and Eva Mae Rutledge Duncan, two brothers and one granddaughter.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2012, 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church of Cleaton, KY with Reverends James R. Young, Sr. and Michael Wade officiating. Burial will follow in West End Cemetery of Greenville, Ky. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday form 12 noon until the funeral hour.

Special visitation will be held Monday, January 23, 2012, 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1213 Walter Jetton Boulevard in Paducah, Kentucky.
