Marcella Hensley Webb, of Park City, KY

BOWLING GREEN, KY - Marcella Hensley Webb was born on July 5, 1935 in Park City, KY., and went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on October 1, 2012.

Her parents were the late Herman and Ermine Hensley. She leaves an adoring family that includes Donald, her loving husband of 59 years, her children, Gayla Miller (Jim) of Bowling Green, Rick Webb of Lake Charles, LA., and Kerry Webb (Tiffany) of Gallatin, TN., and a brother, Winfred Hensley (Bonnie) of Elsmere, KY. She is also survived by grandchildren, Amy Buchanan (David), Ashlee Boyd (Johnston), and Matthew Miller of Bowling Green; Stella Webb and Greyson Webb of Gallatin, TN. She was further blessed with great-grandchildren Piper Ann and James Brady Boyd; Beau and Zachary Buchanan. She unconditionally loved her children but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly the light of her life and helped to keep that special twinkle in her eyes.

She was an involved member of this community supporting many activities and, for many years, was a productive employee of the Union Underwear Company from which she retired.

Marcella was blessed to have been born into a family that manifested God’s love and instilled within her spiritual values that she maintained and nurtured throughout her life. This heritage led her to seek salvation at an early age and she professed faith in Christ as her personal Savior while attending a revival at the Park City, KY Baptist Church. She maintained her faith and, at her passing, was a committed member of Eastwood Baptist Church. She practiced her belief in many ways and was deeply involved with the activities of the Willing Workers Class.

Marcella’s commitment to the service of God, her church and her family was exemplary. For much of her life she was blessed with abundant energy and vitality that she applied in these wholesome ways. Whether she was promoting the work of her church or involved in the activities of her descendants, you could be assured that she would bring her unique zeal and passion to the project at hand. May she rest in peace and enjoy the promises that are in store for believers.

Visitation will be 2:00 P. M. – 8:00 P. M. Thursday, October 4, 2012 and 9:00 A. M. – 11:00 A. M. Friday, October 5, 2012 at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral service will be 11:00 A. M. Friday, at the funeral home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, Inc., 5872 Scottsville Road, Bowling Green, Kentucky 42104.
