BOWLING GREEN, KY - Donald Rex (Red) Brown, age 70, of Russellville, passed away at 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at an area Nursing Home.
The Warren County native was born on December 26, 1941 to the late Walter Ewing and Georgie Ann Brooks Brown and was preceded in death by, one brother Paul Brown, four sisters; Margie Petty, Mollie Ann Warden, Jean Claypool, Shirley Atwell. Red was employed as a salesman at Shook Automotive; he was a member of the Muddy River Baptist Church in Russellville. He loved all sports and was a avid golfer.
In lieu of flowers contribution can be made to the Creekwood Nursing Home Activity Dept. in Russellville, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Survivors include his wife; June Milam Brown of Russellville, three step sons; Kenny Bland of Houston, TX., Jeff Bland of Cedar Hill, TN., Keith Bland of Ramona, CA., one step grandson; Kyle Bland of Fort Worth, TX., one step granddaughter; Sydney Bland of Antioch, TN,. one sister-in-law; Barbara Milam of Russellville, one son; Jeffrey Brown of Scottsville, and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 13 at 10:00 a.m. at the J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel with burial in the Bowling Green Gardens. J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation will be on Friday, October 12 at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday after 9:00 a.m.
