BOWLING GREEN, KY - Joyce Ann Bumgarner, 77, of Bowling Green, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville at 1:14 a.m.
She was the daughter of the late Samuel F. Herman and Myrtle Lafone Herman. Joyce was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She loved people, never met a stranger and especially loved her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years; Milton S. Bumgarner, son; Milton S. Bumgarner, Jr., sisters; Alice Overcash, and Margaret Yoder and four brothers; Edward Herman, Howard Herman, Paul Herman and Samuel B. Herman.
Survivors include: two daughters; Sharon Bumgarner Poston, husband Tim and Tamara Bumgarner Henon, husband Benny, both of Bowling Green, two grandchildren; Cody Poston and Jodi Henon, both of Bowling Green and two step grandchildren; Josh Poston and Kyle Poston, also of Bowling Green two sisters; Carmen Whitener, and Ruth Lawter both of Hickory, NC and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Monday, October 29, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 30 at the funeral home with burial at Bowling Green Gardens.
Expressions of Sympathy can take the form of donation to the American Heart Association and the Bowling Green Humane Society.
