Velma Juanita Britt Butler, 84, of Bowling Green, KY

BOWLING GREEN, KY - Velma Juanita Britt Butler, 84, of Bowling Green, KY passed away at 6:30 p.m. on Monday October 29, 2012 at an area nursing home.

The Allen County native was born on August 17, 1928 to the late Sam and Anna Wood Britt and by her husband Skip Butler, three brothers and one sister. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: five daughters; Portia Miller (John), Janice Bryson Dunning (Ray), Wanda Kay Bogle (Ramon) and the late Steve Bogle, Lisa Shotwell Lindsey (Danny), Samantha Hines (Bubba) all of Bowling Green, eight grandchildren; Willie Bogle, Joshuah, Cody, Shaye Shotwell, Tammy York, Tina Lawrence, Tisha Hines, Kevin Miller; four great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Northside Free will Baptist Church with burial in the Boiling Springs Church cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday after 10:00 a.m. at the church.
