Clay Dillon Copas, 16, of Bowling Green, KY

BOWLING GREEN, KY - Clay Dillon Copas, 16, of Bowling Green, KY passed away at 10:45 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2012.

He is the son of Jeffery Lynn Copas of Woodburn, and Darlene Love and his stepfather Joey Cato of Bowling Green. Clay aspired to be an engineer ever since he was a small child. He loved to build and design things so much that he was thought to one day be a military weapons designer. He enjoyed shooting, the cold weather, family gatherings such as dinner, and especially Thanksgiving where his brothers and cousins would all gather and a lot of wrestling would take place. He also enjoyed getting dressed up and going out to dinner with his father and being out at his dad’s riding four wheelers. Clay was an incredibly smart individual and excelled at just about anything he did. He was very close to his cousin Ashton, his dog Gizmo and will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 9 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Chapel and on Saturday, November 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral is at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10 at the funeral home. Burial is at Bowling Green Gardens.

He is survived by his two brothers; Dalton Copas and Jeffery Copas, II both of Woodburn, KY, a maternal grandmother; Yuvawn Love, Bowling Green, a paternal grandfather; Franklin D. Copas, Bowling Green, and step grandparents; Viola and Adruain Cato, Bowling Green and several loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother; Glea Copas and a maternal grandfather; Elmer Love.

Arrangements have been entrusted to J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane chapel.
