BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Jesse James Miller, 76, of Bowling Green passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Magnolia Village at 2:15 pm.
He was born July 14, 1936 in Jackson, KY and was the son of late Hiram and Dicie Stamper Miller. Also he was preceded in death by one sister Mary Massey and one brother Richard Miller.
Jesse was retired Chief Deputy Jailer at Warren County Regional Jail and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, and a member of Bowling Green Masonic Lodge #73 F. & A. M. He loved his family and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Survived by his wife Wanda Jean Burch Miller, one daughter Sheila Gail Thornton (Tom) of Alvaton, KY, three sisters Hazel Edison (Sherman) of Apache Junction, AZ, Edna Cowles of Brownsville, KY, Opal Carter (James) of Bowling Green, four brothers Robert Miller (Janice), Silas Miller (Sandy), Virgil Miller (Janie) all of Bowling Green, Pryce Miller (Sue) of Louisville, two grandchildren Brandy Mills (Chris) and Brittany Forshee (Wes) both of Bowling Green, three great-grandchildren Kaiden and Karleigh Forshee and Maylee Mills, sister-in-law Mary Kay Miller of Smiths Grove, brother-in-law Robert Jones of Bowling Green, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, December 21 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, December 22 from 9:00 am until funeral time at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel with the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens. Masonic Services will be at 7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
