BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Marcia M. Ray, age 53, of Alvaton, KY passed away, Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
The Dodgeville, WI native is the daughter of the late Francis L. Lynch and Twila D. Lynch, who survives of Dodgeville, WI. Marcia started her Product Development career at Land’s End in Dodgeville and was with them for 18 years. She also served as the Director of Product Development for Fruit of the Loom for 12 years. Marcia was a wonderful wife, a world-wide traveler, had a passion for interior decorating, and loved to donate to the Humane Society and Goodwill. She will be missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by a husband of 26 years; William “Billy” J. Ray, Bowling Green, a step daughter; Carla Ray Garcia, Houston, TX, two sisters; Kathy Wiest, husband Dan, Yorkville, IL and Chris Merritt, husband Tom of Milton, WI. Two grandchildren; Michael and Samantha Garcia, Houston, TX. Nieces and nephews include; Lisa Martinelli, husband Nick, Danny Wiest, Matthew Wiest and many other nieces and nephews and also great niece Isabel Martinelli.
She is preceded in death by a brother; Tim Lynch, two brother in laws; David Ray and Gary Ray.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral ceremony will be held in Mineral Point, WI at Gorgen Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mineral Point, WI.
