BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Juanita Crowder Douglas, age 86, of Bowling Green, KY entered into rest Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
A native of Edmonson Co., KY she was the daughter of the late Oran and Delia Whobrey Crowder. She is preceded in death by her 2 brothers, Oran Crowder Jr. and Glendon Crowder; 2 sisters, Oleta Cherry and Zora Mae Crowder.
Juanita is survived by her husband of 67 years James E. Douglas; two daughters, Sharon Douglas of Bowling Green, KY and Brenda Mule` (Chuck) of Chesapeake, VA; two sons, Mike Douglas (June) and Roger Lane Douglas (Vickie) both of Bowling Green, KY.
Also survived by seven grandchildren, Jon Kirby (Jennifer) of Orlando, FL, Nicole Benitez (Cesar) of Virginia Beach, VA, Rich DuBose (Elizabeth) of Aberdeen, MD, Brian Cayton of Jacksonville, FL, Chris Douglas (Brandy) of Cincinnati, OH, Tim Douglas of New York City, NY, Ben Douglas of Bowling Green, KY; step grandson, Peyton Mule` (Cassidy) of Virginia Beach, VA;
Six great grandchildren, Danielle Kirby of Orlando, FL, Addison, Emmerson, and Graeson DuBose all of Aberdeen, MD, Chole and Phiona Douglas of Cincinnati, OH; one step great grandson, Kyler Benitez of Virginia Beach, VA.
Juanita was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church and retired as a quality inspector for Cutler Hammer / Eaton Corporation in 1991. She loved to fish and be outdoors. She would feed the birds in her yard her leftover biscuits. Juanita loved to travel with her husband. Anyone who ever knew Juanita would describe her as “sweet” and “loving”.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 P.M. and Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 11:00 A.M.
