BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Presley Morris Grise, age 85, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 3:25 pm at The Medical Center.
Morris was born December 8, 1927 at Sand Springs, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents D. A. Grise and Pauline Porter Grise, wife Joyclen Webb Grise and three sisters Helen Gilliam, Martha Strain and Jamie Kane.
Morris was a retired purchasing agent at Colt Industries, he began his work in 1953 and was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church. He was married to the love of his life for 64 ½ years and was married on December 27, 1947. His grandchildren called him “Gran”. He loved to grow vegetables and work in his yard. The grandchildren especially loved him because he would let them roller skate in the garage and he also loved to play nerf ball with all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. They also loved to take trips to Nevada to see Stan and all of his family.
Survivors include one son Stan Grise of Barranquilla, Columbia, S.A. and one daughter Joyce Meredith (Harvey) of Alvaton, KY. Also six grandchildren David and Matt Grise, Greg Meredith, Leeann Sneed (Billy), Pam Kennedy (Eric) and Daniel Meredith, and three great-grandchildren Katie Sneed, Meradeth Carroll and Addisyn Kennedy, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, February 8, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am until service time at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel, with the funeral service Saturday at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens.
Arrangements have been entrusted to J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
