BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Janet Ann Schafler, 70, of Bowling Green, entered into rest Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at her residence.
A native of St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Nola Noble Nichols. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Vernon Nichols.
She is survived by her son, Chris Helmering (Tammy) of St. Louis; a daughter, Susan Tutino (Tom) of Bowling Green; a stepson, Kevin Schafler of Hilliard, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Lisa Singer (Brian) of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren, Jessica and Anthony Tutino, Ryan, Steven, Justin, Brittany and Brooke Helmering, Sami, Zoe and Jake Singer, and Cullen Schafler; and three-great-grandchildren.
Janet was a member of Family Bible Church and retired as an admissions coordinator at The Medical Center of Bowling Green. She was an avid antique collector, loved to read and fish, and was an animal lover.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel, with burial to follow in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday.
