BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Arnold Gregory Taylor , 91, of Bowling Green, KY passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Greenwood Nursing and Rehab in Bowling Green. The Scuffletown (Henderson County), Kentucky native was born July 23, 1921, a son of the late Lee A. Taylor and Charlotte Marie Gregory Taylor. Mr. Taylor received his undergraduate degree in agriculture from the University of Kentucky and was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. He earned a master’s degree in education and Rank I from Western Kentucky University. He was a Henderson County farmer, engineer with Whirlpool Corporation, a science teacher at Bowling Green High School and founder of Arnold Taylor Tax Service. A gardener through his 90th summer, Mr. Taylor also enjoyed woodworking and genealogy. Mr. Taylor especially loved working with young people and was a Scout Master for seven years, taking his scout troop to Philmont Scout Ranch in 1970 and continuing as a council leader for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sara Downing Taylor; one son, Greg Taylor and his wife Laura; one daughter, Susan Taylor and her husband Andy Loving; six grandchildren, Jeremiah, Ingrid, Max, Micah, Sara Burton, and Walker; one great grandchild, Bentley.

Visitation is scheduled from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, March 15, 2013 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home. Memorial Service for Mr. Taylor will be at 6:00 pm Friday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery at an unspecified date.
