BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Curtis Hewitt of Bowling Green, KY entered into rest Friday, April 26, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
A native of Bowling Green, he was the son of the late Curtis Sr. and Mary Hewitt. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Maude Hewitt.
Curtis is survived by his wife of 67 years Alene Robertson Hewitt; 2 daughters, Judy Hewitt of Plano, TX and Kathy Pearson (Ronnie) of Alvaton, KY; 2 grandchildren, Glenda Sattler (Mark) of Plano, TX and Brad Harper (Lorie) of Alvaton, KY; 5 great grandchildren, Jordan, Hayden and Hannah Sattler and Wyatt Harper and Morgan Hewitt Harper; brother, Paul Hewitt of Indiana.
Curtis was a member of Cassidy Free Methodist Church and was a retired Warren County Deputy Sheriff. He was a member of the F.O.P. Lodge 13, was lifetime member of the NRA and was a KY Colonel. Curtis was a fifth generation farmer and was raised on the farm by his grandparents. He was a loving Daddy and “Papa.”
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 29, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel with burial to follow in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will begin Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 1:00 P.M.
