BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Margaret Geneva Slater, 78, of Bowling Green, KY passed away Saturday, May 11 at the Medical Center at 6:20 p.m.
She is the daughter of the late Robert Canida and Estelle Huffine Canida. She was also preceded in death by her late husband: William Slater; two brothers: James Canida and Joe Canida; and two sisters: Bernice Dixon and Ella Canida.
Margaret attended First Christian Church D.O.C.
Survivors include two daughters: Janie Rampy of Bowling Green, Joy Ladd and husband Robert of Chandler, Arizona; and a son: Jimmy Johson and wife Kim of Alvaton; four sisters: Francis Wheeler of Franklin, KY, Martha Poteet of Bowling Green, Anna Ruth Grissom and husband Mike of Buzzard Roost, Tennessee, and Rita Hanley and husband Bill of Franklin, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her Blue Healer “Precious”.
Visitation is today from noon until 7 p.m. at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane chapel and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with burial at Bowling Green Gardens.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Salvation Army or Habitat for Humanity. Arrangements have been entrusted to J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane chapel.
