Greenville Bike Night

friday bike green 300The Greenville Fire Department "Friday Night Bike Nights" will be 6 p.m. July 19 in downtown Greenville featuring "Just Us." There will be a 50/50 raffle along with special door prizes. Food vendors are available. Proceeds go to the Greenville Volunteer Fire Department.

 

 

Wheels and Thrills

wheels thrills 300The Wheels and Thrills golf cart and side-by-side show will begin at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, July 20 in downtown Central City. Events include a golf cart and side-by-side competition, corn hole tournament, DUI simulator and obstacle course, child fingerprinting and a fire ladder truck, offered by the Central City Police Department; inflatable activities and games, food vendors and live entertainment. NashVegas All-Stars in Concert


nashvegas 300The NashVegas All-Stars, www.nashvegasallstars.com, will perform at 8 p.m. July 20 for the Saturdays on the Square concert series. The entertainment group has attained the designation as "Best from the First Four Years," form the Greenville Tourism Commission. Those attending should bring lawn chairs. "The King and I" musical will be 7 p.m. July 19 and 20 and 2 p.m. July 20 at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7.50 for children 12 and under. The Glema Center is located on the Madisonville Community College campus on College Drive.


HOPKINS COUNTY

Pam's Dance Barn event
 
There will be a dance at Pam's Dance Barn from 7 to 10 p.m. at 35 Cedar Lane, Madisonville. Admission is $6 per person. For more information, call (270) 836-4649.
 
Tradewater Pirates take on Owensboro Oilers

The Madisonville Tradewater Pirates Baseball team will play the Owensboro Oilers beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 20 at Elmer Kelly Stadium. Admission is $5 per person. For more information, call (270) 821-4171.

MUHLENBERG COUNTY

Run for Rachel

There will be a "Run for Rachel" 5K Walk/Run beginning with registration at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, July 27 at the Central City Convention Center at 320 Golden Tide Ave., Central City. The first 20 participants to cross the finish line will receive a T-shirt. Medals will be awarded in individual age groups. All proceeds from the event will go to Rachel Pentecost and her family as she recovers from a serious car accident. For more information, contact Lindsay Ward, at the CCCC at (270) 757-1723. Books N Cream

The highly popular summer event for parents and children entering pre-school through third grade is the Duncan Center's "Books 'N Cream". Kids can bring their favorite adult to the Castle Reading Room during the summer, weekdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. through July 27, from as adults read to them from many childhood favorites, and new releases for them to discover. With each visit the child will receive a Free ice cream cone certificate and a free treat related to the featured book. To schedule a group call 270 338 2605.

Downtown Farmers Market

The Downtown Farmers' Market is open every Wednesday and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. It will be open Saturday, July 20. It is located in Founder’s Square parking lot at the corner of 9th & Main Streets in Historic Downtown Hopkinsville.

Hoptown Hoppers Face Fulton  

The Hoptown Hoppers Baseball Team will play Fulton beginning at 7:05 p.m. Saturday, July 13 at Hopkinsville High School baseball field.
