BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Frank Curtis Stagner, 83 was born August 1, 1929 and passed away on July 25, 2013 after a lengthy illness.
He was a devoted husband of 59 years to Wilma Jean Snell Stagner; loving father of five children: Patricia Stagner, Phillip (Susan) Stagner, Paul (Yara) Stagner, Peggy (Bryan) Hanes, and Perri (Mike) Russell; six grandchildren: Joshua Stagner, Danielle Stagner, Jessica Stagner, Nathan Stagner, Allie Hanes, Olivia Hanes; two sisters: Mary Elizabeth Kirby and Dorothy (Henry) Alexander; and brother: Thomas Stagner.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Edith Welty Stagner and father: Leonard Stagner. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a Ky Colonel and was a self-employed watchmaker and jeweler for many years in Bowling Green and his passion was his farm in southern Warren County. He was the last surviving Certified Master Watchmaker in Ky. He was a member of the Salmon Baptist Church and also a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 1 p.m. at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 until 4 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. until the funeral service time at 1 p.m.
