BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - William Jackson (Jack) Harrison, 82 of Bowling Green, Ky passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Hospice House of Southern Ky.
The Grayson County native was a son of the late William Rumsey and Elva Elizabeth Meredith Harrison and was preceded in death by a sister, Modell Vincent. He was a builder, high school teacher and retired superintendent of mechanical services at Western Ky University, a faithful member, trustee and usher for many years of Cave Mill General Baptist Church and a Korean War Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Woosley Harrison; two sons, Daniel B. Harrison and William A. "Tony" Harrison (Vickie); two grandchildren, Petty Officer 3rd Class USN William Andrew Harrison and Nathan Jackson Harrison; a special niece Agnes Seaton (Leon), several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Edmonson County with military honors. Visitation 2:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday and 12:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
