BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Eva A. Brashear, 76, of Alvaton passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 6:15 a.m. at her residence.
The Plano native was born December 13, 1936 to the late Powell A. and Emma Jewell Yates Moore. She was also preceded in death by her grandson: Joseph Phillips, five brothers, and five sisters. She was retired from the Warren County School System where she worked at Greenwood High School in the lunchroom. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Eva was a loving wife, dedicated mother, and grandmother. She loved her Lord and Savior. She is survived by her husband of 60 years: Bro. John Brashear of Alvaton; two daughters: Pam Drake and husband Kenny and Bonita Wallace both of Bowling Green; her son: Barry Brashear and wife Brenda of Allensville, Ky; brother: Odell Moore and his wife Imogene of Bowling Green; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; brothers-in-law: Kenneth Brashear and wife Evelyn and Larry Brashear and wife Annie Ruth all of Bowling Green.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel with burial to follow in Bowling Green Gardens.
Arrangements have been entrusted to J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel.
