BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Martha Ray Ragland, 74, of Bowling Green, Ky entered into rest Aug. 1, 2013, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Jerry Jordan and Emily Jordan Green. She was preceded in death by her four brothers, James, Bobby, Justin and Harry Jordan; daughter Betty Embry; and granddaughter Shannon Embry.
Martha is survived by her two daughters, Wanda Warren of Bowling Green and Carolyn Woolbright (William) of Franklin; son Billy Green of Bowling Green; beloved friend Howard “Bud” Hooten of Bowling Green; three sisters, Wanda King of Oakland, Glorianna Hawks of Bowling Green and Sara Marina Day of Anderson, Ind.; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Martha retired from Western Ky University in 1995. Her favorite thing was cooking large meals for her family. She enjoyed crocheting blankets and playing bingo.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is from noon until 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until the funeral service time at 11 a.m. Monday.
