BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - J. Richard Hughes, 66, of Bowling Green, KY passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at 7:15 a.m. at Hospice of Southern KY.
Richard was born on January 8, 1947 in Louisville, KY. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Danielle Marie Hughes and his parents: Joseph Lee and Edna Rudell Truitt Hughes.
Richard was a retired project manager for Green Mechanical Company and a member of Hillvue Heights Church. He was a devoted member of BG Euro Classic Car Club and he was the Southern KY Representative for the KY Porsche Club of America. He especially loved and was devoted to his wife, daughters, brother, and family.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years: Toni Hughes; one daughter: Jenni Druen (Brandon) of Bowling Green; and one brother: Bob Hughes (Sharon) of Indianapolis, Indiana. Additional survivors include one sister-in-law: Cecilia Winebrenner (late husband Earl); two brother-in-laws: Dan Eberenz (Suzie) and Rick Eberenz (Monica) both of Louisville; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted Monday, August 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 until 6 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
