BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Larry Smallwood, 66, of Bowling Green, Ky entered into rest Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Greenview Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness.
A native of Jenkins, Ky he was the son of the late Rudolf and Ruth Smallwood. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law: Howard Duff; sister-in-law: Susan Allen; and brother-in-law: John Duff.
Larry is survived by his wife of 36 years: Linda Smallwood; son: Jon Smallwood of Hermitage, Tennessee; two sisters: Brenda (John) Clark and Dottie (Ed) Benningfield; two brothers: Alvin (Linda) Smallwood and Virgil (Georgann) Smallwood; and mother-in-law: Geneva Duff. Larry is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Larry was Methodist by faith and was a 1969 graduate of Western Ky University. He was a CPA and first worked for James R. Meaney where he became a partner. Larry also worked at Avery & Smallwood where he retired in October of 2012.
Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 2 p.m. at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the funeral service time at 2 p.m.
