BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - William Eugene Baldwin, 71, of Bowling Green, Ky passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his sister’s home.
Baldwin was a Bowling Green native and lived in Connecticut for 28 years before returning to Bowling Green to be near his family. He graduated from Catholic school in Connecticut and was a 1995 graduate of Bowling Green Tech and was self-employed in heat and air.
Bill fought a nine month battle with cancer and was very active and independent to the very end. He was surrounding by his loving family when he passed. He was known to all as a very helpful and giving person. He will be missed by all, especially his sister Barbara who was his sole caregiver. He was preceded in death by his father: Alfred J. Baldwin; mother: Ruby Nell Young; grandmother: Mary Glee Pierce; and sister: Edna Evans.
He is also survived by his son: Shaun Michael Landry of Connecticut; sisters: Barbara Douglas of Bowling Green, Lucy Aspin (Dave) of Smiths Grove, Linda Coots (Henry) of Indiana; brother: Josh Caskey of Bowling Green; aunts: Betty Hollis and Kathy Runner of Louisville; nieces: Leisa and Kaylah Payne, Leigha Douglas, and Shanna Short; nephews: Scott, Austin, and Kyler Douglas, Rudy Campbell, Justin Hacker, Patrick Hopkins; several great nieces and nephews; special friend: Carol Embry; and companions: Roger and Diesel. He also leaves behind a world of great friends that he met along the way.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Broadway Chapel with visitation from noon until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Broadway Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to the J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel.
