Joy D. Davis Cate of Bowling Green, Ky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Joy D. Davis Cate of Bowling Green, Ky passed away on November 20, 2013 at her residence.
 
She graduated from Western Ky University with a masters degree and was a retired teacher. Mrs. Cate was a member of Greenwood Church of Christ. She was the wife of the late William 'Buddy' B. Cate for 62 years and was also preceded in death by her parents: Charlie E. and Rena Mae Davis; brother: LeRoy Davis; and nephews: Kenneth D. Davis and Kimble Wade Davis.
 
She is survived by her brother: Kenneth E. Davis of Bowling Green; niece: Marsha Jo Haydon and husband James of Rockfield; nephew: Joseph G. Davis and wife Julia of Rockfield; great nieces and great nephews: Leigh Ann Scott, Kenneth T. Lockhart, Jenna Ann Davis, Brandi Davis, and Dalton Davis; great great niece and nephew: Anna Beth Scott and Samuel Scott.
 
A graveside will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery.
 
Expressions of sympathy may be made to your favorite charity. Arrangements are entrusted to J.C. Kirby and Son.
