BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - JoAnn Goodrum, 78 of Bowling Green, Ky passed away at 6:30 am, Thursday, November 28, 2013 at her residence. The Pike County, Indiana native was born January 19, 1935, a daughter of the late James R. Blount and Lorene V. Preston Blount.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Urban Guy Goodrum; two sons, Timothy Guy Goodrum and Tommy Ray Goodrum and her brother, James E. Blount. Mrs. Goodrum attended Stendal High School. She was employed by Holland Insurance, Blake, Hart, Taylor and Weisman Insurance agency and retired from Nylon Craft.
Survivors include one son, Ronald Allen Goodrum of Bowling Green; two daughters, Linda Diane Holdren (Butch Morris)and Janet Lynn Thurman (Tim Cox) all from Bowling Green; two brothers, Jerry R. Blount of Jasper, Indiana and Donald R. Blount from Stendall, Indiana; three sisters, Betty M. Caldemeyer of Jasper, Indiana, Jean Eckert of Birdseye, Indiana, and Carolyn F. Parks from Boonville, Indiana; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2013 and again from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
