king davis 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (12/30/13) - The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center recently recognized Larry King-Davis as the employee of the month. King-Davis serves as the cafeteria supervisor at the Job Corps. King-Davis is being recognized for multiple reasons. The cafeteria was down staff each week due to a number of reasons and at times up to three staff at once with short notice. King-Davis has adjusted his schedule to ensure proper coverage within his department without sacrificing customer service for the students. His department has been through and prepared for the Horizons Youth Services Assessment, Facility Survey Team Center Assessment, U.S. Department of Labor Assessment and two Horizons Youth Service support visits. Unlike other areas, the dining area was required to support these functions each time for both brief-Ins, Brief-Outs and daily support activities while maintaining the regular food service activities. Comments were made by the Department of Labor assessment team that MCDC has the best café and best training staff they have seen. The Muhlenberg Job Corps staff believes it's very fortunate to have a Food services Manager who truly cares so much for both the staff and the students of the Center.
