PROVIDENCE, KY - Theresa L. Watson, 48 of Providence, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 21 in Madisonville., KY. She was born on Dec. 26, 1963 in Providence to Alfred and Florence Williams.

She graduated from Providence High School and worked at Carhartt for a number of years. She was currently employed as a computer educator with HUD.

Survivors include a daughter Samira Watson of Providence, a son & daughter in law, Robert Lee III and Sarah Watson currently stationed at Ramstein AFB in Germany, a granddaughter Azariah, three brothers Lamonte Williams of Philadelphia, Sherman and Alfred ‘Boogie’ Williams both of Providence and a sister Latrice Tillmon of Atlanta.

Theresa was a member of Pleasant Hills Missionary Baptist Church, Eastern Star, served as president of the Providence Lions Club and enjoyed reading, children and public service.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 1 PM at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Providence with Rev. William House Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9 AM to service time at the church. Jones & Erdman has care of arrangements.
