SEBREE, KY - Ora Lee (Ashby) Majors, 87, of Sebree passed away Sunday March 18, 2012 at 1:20 PM. She was born in Sebree on January 25, 1925 to the late Noble Washington and Ora Edwards Ashby.

She was a retired secretary for KY Utilities. She was a member of Sebree First Christian Church and a KY Colonel. She served on the Sebree City Council and as Deacon of the First Christian Church. She enjoyed reading, cross-stitching, her grandchildren and was an Avid UK Basketball Fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Jones, 4 Sisters, Dorothy Cole, Nita Gardner, Alyene McCurry, Jewell Watson, 2 brothers Noble Ashby and William Ashby.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Hugh B. Majors; 3 Daughters: Brenda (Bob) Farmer of Henderson, KY, Kathy (David) Evans of Bowling Green, KY, Jana Denton of Henderson, KY; 1 Brother: Robert “Bob” Ashby of Corydon, KY; Grandchildren: Bryan (Lori) Farmer of Henderson, KY, Tiffani (Jason) Jones of Morgantown, KY, Traci (Charles) Duff of Bowling Green, KY, Tamara Evans of Louisville, KY, Tori (Chris) Gerbig of Bowling Green, KY, Clint Evans of Bowling Green, KY, Sarah (Lance) Wayne of Robards, KY, Katie Denton of Poole, KY, Wade Denton of Robards, KY; 9 Great-Grandchildren; Nieces & Nephews.

Services will be 1:00 PM Friday March 23, 2012 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel. Bro. John McCurry and Bro. Bill Anderson will officiate.

Visitation will be Thursday 4-8 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM until service time.

Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree. Pallbearers will be Bryan Farmer, Clint Evans, Charles Duff Jr., Jason Jones, Chris Gerbig, Alexander Farmer, Brandon Jones and Wade Denton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Edwards, Kerry Daniels, Jim Catlin, O.J. Eastwood, Wayne Hunter, Johnny Marsh and C.E. Johnson.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice or American Cancer Society.
