WEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. - Paul Hudnall, age 90, of Madisonville, KY, passed away at 6:40pm, Sunday, January 21, 2013, at Hillside Villas in Madisonville, KY.
Paul was self-employed as a carpenter and owned his own business, Hudnall's Home Improvements which was housed in the Eastgate Shopping Center. A very skilled craftsman, you would never know he was basically self-taught. He was a hard worker and taught his children to be the same. Even at young ages, he had his kids pulling nails out of used lumber to re-use them. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed playing horseshoes and competing in tournaments. You could often times find Paul dancing to some Bluegrass music at one of the dances at the senior center.
Paul Hudnall was preceded in death by his parents, HD and Ida Hudnall, a wife, Stella Marie Hudnall, 2 sisters, Helen and Maurine, and 3 brothers: Dewey, HDJr., and James.
Survivors include: Wife: Gracie Loretta Hudnall; 2 Daughters: Janice Thompson and Shelia Skaggs, 5 Sons: David Lee Hudnall, Ronnie Hudnall, Larry Hudnall, Steve "B.B." Hudnall and Paul Hudnall; 2 Sisters: Lorine Washer and Oma Corrine Hudnall; 4 Brothers: Bob Hudnall, Marvin Hudnall, Charles Hudnall, Lewis Hudnall; 17 Grandchildren; 34 Great Grandchildren; 11 Great Great Grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to Paul "Slim" Hudnall's Life Celebration from 2:00-8:00pm Tuesday, January 22, 2013 and again on Wednesday starting at 9:00am at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home with Reverend Don Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Chaney Cemetery in Spottsville, KY.
