Gordon Holeman Hancock, Jr. 96 of Onton, KY

WEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. - Gordon Holeman Hancock, Jr. 96 of Onton, KY passed away Tuesday, January 22 at the River’s Bend Retirement Center in Kuttawa, KY

He was born in July 7, 1916 in Onton, KY to the late Gordon H. and Eula (Dunville) Hancock .

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Lee (Ashby) Hancock, 2 brothers James Hancock, Frank Hancock and grandson Robert D. Hancock.

He is survived by one son Col. (Ret. USA) Jackie R. Hancock and his wife Virginia of Eddyville, KY, Grandson Roger E. Hancock of Benton, KY 4 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He retired from the Williams Chemical Co. in Henderson, KY. He was a lifelong member of the Onton United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Bailey-Onton Masonic Lodge # 538.

Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday January 26, 2013, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel with Pastor Marty Robertson and Rev. Danny Fireline officiating. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday January 25 and10 AM-1 PM Saturday January 26 at the funeral home.

There will be a Masonic service 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Onton United Methodist Church or the Onton Cemetery.
