Take a Kid Fishing Event Postponed

postpone kidfishing 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (5/8/13) – Due to the recent presence of an immense amount of rain and general moisture, local officials have decided to postpone the “Take a Kid Fishing” event until June 8.

On Wednesday, May 8, at around noon, officials visited Luzerne Lake to make sure conditions would be safe and suitable for the event, originally scheduled for this weekend. Unfortunately, the amount of mud found surrounding the lake area, coupled with further wet weather conditions that appear to be approaching Muhlenberg County over the weekend, has forced officials to reschedule the event.

Local officials are regretful that this event has to be postponed, but are very ecstatic that the event will be a great success, with over 100 local children signed up to attend.
