Greenville Police Investigate Stabbing Incident

breaking news stabbing 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (5/19/13) – On Saturday, May 18, Greenville Police Department (GPD) Officer Erc Maddox responded to a report of an altercation on Country Lane Drive in Greenville.

Once on the scene, Officer Maddox found that 38-year-old Connie Freemen, of Greenville, was involved in an altercation with another Greenville female, Christy Pointer. According to GPD officials, Freemen apparently stabbed Pointer with a pair of scissors. A male Greenville resident, Matt Adcock, was also stabbed on the wrist while attempting to stop the altercation.

Pointer was flown to St. Mary’s in Evansville for treatment of injury to her right arm.

Freeman was arrested on charges of Assault-2nd Degree, Assault – 4th Degree (Domestic Violence) Minor Injury, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and a warrant for Failure to Appear.

Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky State Police, Powderly Police Department, Greenville Fire Department, and Muhlenberg EMS also responded to the scene.
