Ray Road to be Closed for Three Months

OWENSBORO, Ky. (9/4/13) - A contractor plans to close Ray Road at the Daviess-Hancock County line starting Friday, Sept. 6.

The roadway will close Friday at approximately 7:30 a.m., and is expected to remained closed until about Dec. 15 to allow the removal and replacement of the Blackford Creek Bridge at the county line.

This is along Ray Road between KY 662 and KY 657 in the Iron Ore Hill area.

There will be a marked detour. Ray Road is expected to reopen to traffic in Mid-December with final paving and project completion by mid-May of 2014.

Scott & Murphy Contracting is the prime contractor on this project.
