Dorris Owens, 78, of Dixon, Ky

WEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. - Dorris Owens, 78, of Dixon, Ky passed away at his home on December 25, 2013. He was a Farmer and member of Kindred Spirits Church in Morganfield, Ky. He was the son of the late David and Goldie Floyd Owens.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Owens and 3 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include 2 daughters Sheila Thompson and her husband Rick of Henderson, Ky and Peggy Posey and her husband Curtis of Corydon, Ky; 4 sons Jackie Owens and his wife Judy, Vincent Owens and his wife Carolyn, Ray Owens and his girlfriend Karen Haynes all of Dixon, Ky; and Wayne Owens and his wife Tracey of Henderson, Ky; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday December 29, 2013 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, Ky. Bro. Gerald Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Old Cedar Grove Cemetery in Tilden, Ky. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Saturday and from 8am till service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
