hockey 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (2/25/14) – The Edge Ice Center will play host to the Kentucky High School Hockey League State Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, March 1 and 2.

Games begin Saturday morning at 9 a.m., with the last game starting at 8:50 p.m.

Games resume Sunday with the third place game beginning at 1:30 p.m., followed by the Championship State Finals at 3:15 p.m.

Owensboro’s team Rampage will try to regain its state title from 2012 on home ice.

Complete game schedules will be available at Owensboro Youth Hockey Association once all seedings have been set. Spectators are welcome. Admission is $6 for one game, or $10 for a weekend pass.

Competing Teams:

Trinity Shamrocks, Henry Clay Blue Devils, Owensboro Rampage, South Oldham, Paul Lawrence Dunbar Bulldogs, Evansville Thunder, Saint Xavier Tigers, and Eastern High School eagles.

As a result of the tournament, the regularly scheduled Saturday public skating sessions of 1-4 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. and the Sunday session of 1-4 p.m. have been cancelled.

Public skating session will resume on Thursday, March 6.
