South Heights Performs 'The Little Mermaid Jr'

Henderson SouthHeights Elementary 300HENDERSON, Ky. (3/25/14) — South Heights Drama Company will be performing two shows of "The Little Mermaid Jr" at the Henderson Fine Arts Center, Thursday, March 27, 2014.

The shows will be held 12:15 p.m. (students only) and 6:30 p.m. (community).

There is no cost to attend, however donations will be accepted. The show will consist of 52 (third through fifth grade) student performers, choreographers, directors, idea-creators, and backstage helpers.

“I am so excited about this year’s performance,” stated Audra Coursey, Drama Company Coordinator and music teacher. “This is truly a student-driven fusion of collaboration and creativity! Two regional high schools have performed this play, so it is very challenging. That’s the best part though, our students thrive on exceeding expectations. Our goal this year is to fill the center! The students have worked extremely hard all year (afterschool and on weekends) to be prepared! Now we need an audience to perform for!”

This performance is co-sponsored by Studio 421 and Raben Tire and Auto Service. For more information, contact Audra Coursey or Rob Carroll, principal, at (270) 831-5081.
