Accident Injury 01 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (3/27/14) — A Christian County woman was injured in collision with a coal truck Wednesday, March 26 on the Western Kentucky Parkway in Muhlenberg County.

According to a Kentucky State Police report, Rachel E. McCready, 25, of Oak Grove was driving a 2009 Ford Fusion east on the WKP at about 8 a.m. behind a 2010 Mack tractor-trailer driven by Robert N. Sigers, 43, of Greenville.

The report stated that McCready swerved into the left lane to avoid rear-ending Sigers' truck. When she did, she lost control of her vehicle. It traveled into the median, then back onto the road, where it entered the path of Siger's truck.

The two vehicles collided on the road and then came to rest on the road.

McCready was transported by Muhlenberg County EMS to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment.

Sigers was not injured.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Trooper Jerrod Hearld investigated the collision.
