Henderson Man Arrested on Rape, Assault

General Arrest 09 green 300HENDERSON, Ky. (4/3/2014) — Henderson Police Tuesday arrested a Henderson man on a number of warrants stemming from a December incident, authorities said today.

According to a police report, Michael Carmon, 22, Henderson, faces charges of assault, criminal mischief, terroristic threatening, wanton endangerment, and third degree rape following his arrest at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday in the 1700 block of North Green Street.

The warrants were related to an alleged incident Dec. 3, 2013, in which Carmon allegedly struck one person in the face and bit another. Authorities said Carmon “broke a window in the home… and made threats against occupants.”

He left the house before police arrived, but was later apprehended on charges of alcohol intoxication.

Police said the rape charge stemmed from an alleged incident involving a person under the age of 16.

Carmon was lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center.
